3. Ring, gold

From Ammunde, Burs parish, Gotland, 1100-1361 A.D. The circumference (i.e. the ring itself) is plain, the ends split into two three-pronged forks between which rests a square signet with chamfered sides. The signet is engraved with palmettes (stylised palm leaves) and roses etc. SHM 2485:8
