Danish coin, back

From the mass graves, the Cross Meadow, Visby parish, Gotland. Minted in Lund. A patriarchal cross is a cross with two pairs of arms where the upper pair is shorter than the lower one, all of whose six ends are split. Furthest out is an edge chain of balls. There were 126 coins minted on both sides from Lund in the leather pouch, of which 125 are of this type. It has been discussed whether this type of coin was minted under Magnus Eriksson or under King Valdemar. Most experts are now in agreement that it belongs to Valdemar's mint. SHM 19325:Mz3
