Danish coin, front
From the mass graves, the Cross Meadow, Visby parish, Gotland. Minted in Lund. An anchor with a ball on each side. Along the edge of the coin there are eight crescents with the pointed ends turned outwards, each embraced by a ball. There were 126 coins minted on both sides from Lund in the leather pouch, of which 125 are of this type. It has been discussed whether this type of coin was minted under Magnus Eriksson or under King Valdemar. Most experts are now in agreement that it belongs to Valdemar's mint. SHM 19325:Mz3
