Object, iron
From the mass graves, the Cross Meadow, Visby parish, Gotland, 1250-1361 A.D. This object, found in one of the mass graves, consists of two iron bars with a square cross-section. Both are attached to a ring which allowed the object to articulate. It is unclear what this object actually is. Perhaps it is part of a tool, e.g. a flail, that was brought to be used as a weapon. Perhaps it was part of a suit of armour. What do you think? SHM 19325:Ott4:1
